Upskilling Scotland's Civic Society
This course is for people who are already familiar with the basic functions of Microsoft Excel and would like to find out more. It is delivered over two sessions of 3.5 hours, using segmented lessons that are backed up by short exercises that the tutor takes you through.
Content includes:
Reviewing the basics: a reminder on the ribbon, formatting, simple formulas etc
Using dates in Excel
Formulas vs functions: types of functions and how to use them
The Formula Dialogue Box
Absolute and Relative References: locking formulas to specific data
The IF function: using one of Excel's most useful tools
Using VLOOKUP; why vertical lookups can make your working life so much easier
Charts and other display options: making your data look good – and more intelligible
Pulling it together: use your new learning to build a spreadsheet, step by step
The course is delivered using our purpose-built Excel workbook, which is yours to keep.
All attendees also have free access to an online Excel helpdesk for six months, where we will be happy to provide online refreshers, or help with any issue you have.
This Excel training can be delivered as an in-house session.
We will be happy to arrange an online session of either course for up to 12 of your staff, at a time that suits best for you.
