Upskilling Scotland's Civic Society
This short training session looks at the practical steps that can help prevent the spread of infections, including Covid, and keep staff and customers safe.
Using a stepped approach, we look first at the basics of keeping your environment safe, including:
The routes of infection
The six stages of cleaning
Sterilisation procedures for equipment and the general environment
Personal protective equipment for various situations
Safe handling of potential infected materials
The correct disposal of waste
We then look at the measures you may wish to have in place to halt the spread of the Covid virus, including:
Sanitising stations (most effective types, positioning, rosters etc)
Breaking the chain of infection, from social distancing measures to track and trace
And finally, we look at how to handle suspected or actual Covid cases
What to do if you suspect someone is Covid-positive
Measures to take if this positive diagnosis is confirmed
This training can be delivered as an in-house session.
We will be happy to arrange an online or classroom session of this training course for up to 12 of your staff, at a time that suits best for you. Costs can be as low as £22 per attendee
