The UK government defines bullying and harassment as behaviour that makes someone feel intimidated or offended.
This can include everything from spreading malicious rumours to unfair treatment, picking on someone or even regularly undermining them, or deliberately denying someone’s training or promotion opportunities
This half day course is suitable as a starting point on the issue, and is for anyone in the workplace.
You may feel that you yourself should simply get clued up on the issue, or you may be a workplace representative, a trades union rep, a manager or even a concerned colleague.
We look at:
•What is bullying and harassment? What actions constitute bullying and harassment? For instance, is strong management a type of bullying?
•The impact of bullying and harassment
•The law regarding bullying and harassment, including the 2010 Equalities Act
•Handling allegations of bullying and harassment
•Dealing with bullying and harassment scenarios
•Bullying and Harassment and Equalities in the workplace
