Civicos Training has updated its well-received course on Vulnerable Adults Protection to reflect the difficulties that have been caused by Covid-19, social isolation and restricted access. The new onlline session is designed specifically for third sector and social care groups who work with vulnerable clients. There is time given at the end for a Q&A.
The training will provide you with the underpinning knowledge and practical skills required to enable the safeguarding of vulnerable adults. By the end you will be able to
Outline the main legislation relating to the safeguarding of vulnerable adults
Recognise the signs and symptoms of abuseonline using Zoom, over 3.5 hours.
Define the terms harm and abuse
Describe different forms of harm and abuse
Explain how to manage a disclosure or suspicion of abuse
Demonstrate effective communication and documentation skills when dealing with harm and abuse
Consider how best to connect with, and safely question, potentially vulnerable adults during Covid restrictions, when your physical connection is restricted.
This training is available as in-house online training for your own staff
We will be happy to arrange an online session of this course for up to 12 of your staff, at a time that suits best for you. The costs can be as low as £25 per attendee.
If government restrictions allow, and you can provide a training space that meets all safety and hygiene requirements, we will also be happy to deliver this course in a classroom setting.
