Friday 29th January 20121
Delivered online by Zoom 09.30 to 13.00.
Personality Disorders affect around 1 in 20 people. They are deeply ingrained and maladaptive patterns of behaviour of a specified kind, typically apparent by the time of adolescence, causing long-term difficulties in personal relationships or in functioning in society.
This training is intended for anyone who works with a client-group or with the general public, and who feels that an understanding of the more common types of personality disorder would help them to relate and interact at a more meaningful level.
The aim of the session is not in any way to provide ‘labels’, or to stigmatise. Instead, we look at different personality disorders to show how individual can differ significantly, in terms of how they think, perceive, feel and relate to others. And how unusual, odd or aggressive behaviour may be underpinned by a personality disorder, which might well be improved by the right interventions.
Delivered online as two sessions of two hours duration each.
Course Tutor: Brian McNee, Director of Training at Civicos Training and Communications and delivers courses in personal safety, personal development, human psychology, management and business skills.
