Hi - if you are browsing our website in late July 2021, can you note that we are currently building our new programme, which is slightly delayed as we are waiting for confirmation of dates from our training venue, post Covid. So the dates posted here for this course are holding dates, so that we can get started on updating the web.
All other information is correct, exept for the dates. If you are interested in the course, do get in touch and we'll let you know just as soon as we have the actual dates - firstname.lastname@example.org . Alternatively, please just check back to the site in early August, when things should be resolved and actual dates are in place. Thanks for your patience!
This course is for people who are already familiar with the basic functions of Microsoft Excel and would like to find out more. It is delivered over two sessions of 3.5 hours, using segmented lessons that are backed up by short exercises that the tutor takes you through.
Reviewing the basics: a reminder on the ribbon, formatting, simple formulas etc
Using dates in Excel
Formulas vs functions: types of functions and how to use them
The Formula Dialogue Box
Absolute and Relative References: locking formulas to specific data
The IF function: using one of Excel's most useful tools
Using VLOOKUP; why vertical lookups can make your working life so much easier
Charts and other display options: making your data look good – and more intelligible

The course is delivered using our purpose-built Excel workbook, which is yours to keep.
All attendees also have free access to an online Excel helpdesk for six months, where we will be happy to provide online refreshers, or help with any issue you have.
This Excel training can be delivered as an in-house session.
We will be happy to arrange an online session of either course for up to 12 of your staff, at a time that suits best for you.
